Templates are pre-designed documents that you or somebody else (such as Microsoft) creates to use as a blueprint for a job. The template could be for a business card, brochure, resume, demonstration. . .the list continues. (you could also find templates for Excel, PowerPoint, and other applications, but in this article we are focusing on Microsoft Word.)
The template includes a specific layout, style, design and, sometimes, text and fields which are common to every use of the template. Some templates are really complete (such as business cards), you merely need to change the individual’s name, contact number, and email address. Others, such as business reports or brochures, could demand that everything is changed except the design and layout.
As soon as you create a template, you can use it repeatedly.
